Lazy summer Sundays are made for self-reflection, right? Well, I think so! So here it goes – I am four months away from turning 25 years old, a quarter of a century. Transitioning into adulthood has given me experiences that I will never forget.
The Dog Park
A little over a year ago to date, I adopted a 2 month old American Staffordshire Terrier and Boxer mix from Double Dog Rescue in Baltimore, MD. His name is Duke, named after my alma mater, James Madison University’s mascot – the Duke Dog.
The District of Champions
There is a sort of electricity in the air as I walk through the streets of DC to work. It has been four months since the Washington Capitals bested Las Vegas for the Stanley Cup, but the excitement and buzz still lingers. I was born in DC and raised in Bethesda, MD. I have been a lifelong DC sports fan and I have endured one of the longest championship droughts in the history of professional sports.
